Chronicle 2.4 Release Overview
We're excited to share that Chronicle 2.4 includes all the tools you need to create participant logs or indexes alongside your privilege logs with the click of a button!
Version Support Update
- Chronicle 2.4 will have Relativity Server 2024 Support pending final Relativity Server 2024 release.
- Relativity Server 2021 is no longer supported with Chronicle 2.4.
Features
Multiple Chronicle Agent Support
Chronicle now supports the ability for multiple Agent Servers for processing Name Normalization analysis and Name Normalization write-back. This change provides significant throughput gains for Name Normalization projects.
Each agent server should only contain 1 Chronicle agent. Scaling should be accomplished by adding a new Chronicle agent to a new Agent Server.
Throughput Results
The following results were measured using virtualized hardware without real-world review workloads in the environment.
Results were measured using a saved search containing 110,000 documents with six fields, each containing a single value.
Test Agents
Agent | CPU | Memory |
---|---|---|
Agent A | 6 Cores | 12 GB |
Agent B & C | 6 Cores | 10 GB |
Name Normalization Project Analysis
Version | Doc Count | Field Values | Duration | Docs/Second |
---|---|---|---|---|
2.3 | 110,000 | 660,000 | 40 Minutes | 45.8 |
2.4 | 110,000 | 660,000 | 13 Minutes | 141.0 |
Name Normalization Project Write-Back
Version | Doc Count | Normalized Values | Duration | Docs/Second |
---|---|---|---|---|
2.3 | 110,000 | 10,680 | 4 Hrs. 5 Mins. | 7.4 |
2.4 | 110,000 | 10,680 | 29 Minutes | 63.2 |
Your results will vary based on various factors, including the number of agents and case/instance activity.
Attorney Designation, Title, and Organizations
Review teams can now optionally set attorney designation, title, and organization for any normalized name. In addition to support for adding this information when creating a normalized name, users can also:
- Set these values when editing an existing normalized name
- Import these values when importing mappings on the manage normalizations tab
- Export these values from the manage normalizations tab
- Filter and sort these values from the manage normalization tab
Attorney designation includes four built-in options, including an asterisk(*), "ESQ", ", Esq", and "Esq.". These values, when set, are included in the Name Normalization write-back operation with appropriate spacing.
Extensive validation has been added to all forms to avoid conflicts when setting or importing optional information. For more detailed information, please review the Chronicle user guide.
Participant Log/Index
Unique normalized names exported from the manage normalizations tab automatically include all optional information. This export trivializes creating a list of privilege log participants and their identifying information with the click of a button.
