The goal of this guide is to create a Long Text Field that shows the extracted text after redactions have been placed on a native excel document. At the bottom of this page, there is a video to see the creation of this field. It also shows how this field may look compared to the regular Extracted Text field.
Your first step in getting your Redacted Extracted Text from Native Excel document. Is to Create a new long text field. On the workspace level of relativity under the workspace admin tab go to the field subtab.
Once there click Create New Field. Object type will be Document, Field type Long text and Available in Viewer set to yes. Once the field is created run a Process Excel Text mass actions on the documents in questions. (For clarity's sake, in this example I will name this field Redacted Extracted Text but the name is unimportant.) Set the Extracted Text Field to Redacted Extract Text and hit Ok.
Note: Make sure a Native Markup Set is Chosen for the documents.
Once you have done that go into a document of choice. Proceed to the extracted 30 text dropdown menu and chose Redacted Extracted Text.
This should look similar to the extracted text field but with the key difference of not containing any text where redactions have been placed. Below is the before and after in the Redacted Extracted Text after the first row of the excel document was redacted.
Below you can find a video going through the whole process.
