This script will return the number of documents coded to a particular value for any field on the document table. It will return the number of documents for each available coding value.
The most common application of this will be to get the value of Yes/No fields that are added to the document object. In the example below, a Yes/No field has been added to the document object called "Is Coded". This field has been marked no for 2001 documents and yes for the remaining 500. In this example we have displayed the data as a pie chart allowing us to control the display of the data through the title while giving the raw data based on chosen value.
This SQL script is compatible with the following chart types:
- Bar Chart
- Table Chart
- Pie Chart
Where to Use
This script should be used at the workspace level. It will not work if used in the admin level tab.
How to Use
To use this script you must edit the script. At the top of the script you must provide the name of a field that exists in the current workspace and that field must be on the document table. Fields that are commonly placed on the document table include text fields and yes/no fields.
Save the attached script, make required updates and copy and paste it into either a bar, table or pie chart in a workspace level Broadcast tab.
